Resumen de la comunidad

Texto original · InglésA 2D vertical bullet-hell platformer spin-off of Enter the Gungeon where the Gungeoneers ride a collapsing elevator upward, with a blessed gun that keeps morphing into random weapons.

Texto original · InglésExit the Gungeon is received as a competent but clearly lesser spin-off: critics land in mixed-to-decent territory (Metacritic 68 Switch / 67 PC, about 45% of OpenCritic critics recommending) and Steam players are Mostly Positive at about 74% across roughly 3,800 reviews. Most praise the chaotic arcade energy, art, humor and bosses, while criticising the forced random gun-swapping, cramped arenas and reduced depth versus Enter the Gungeon. It began life as an Apple Arcade mobile title (Sept 2019) before reaching Switch/PC (Mar 2020), and many negative reviews are really 'this is not Enter the Gungeon' complaints. A late content update (Hello to Arms, adding an Arsenal Mode with normal weapon pickups) softened the biggest complaint, but a Meowitzer boss softlock bug is still reported in recent Steam reviews. It is a cheap, often-discounted short-session game rather than a long-term roguelite.

Lo que elogian los jugadores

  • Texto original · InglésFrantic, nonstop arcade bullet-hell action with very little downtime and short runs that suit quick sessions
  • Texto original · InglésSame Gungeon charm: humor, weapon designs, pixel art and animation, soundtrack and sound design
  • Texto original · InglésBoss fights that remix the original's bosses into fusion bosses with new attack patterns
  • Texto original · InglésPer-character elevator routes and a new vertical structure give it a distinct feel from the first game
  • Texto original · InglésUnlockable hats, new costumes and small extras (Winchester and Loblina minigames, robot hearts now useful, Cultist playable without co-op) that completionists enjoy
  • Texto original · InglésCheap price and frequent sales make it decent value as a pickup-and-play game

Lo que critican los jugadores

  • Texto original · InglésConstantly changing blessed gun means you rarely build toward anything; combo-based weapon quality still delivers junk guns at bad moments
  • Texto original · InglésMeowitzer boss bug (boss turns invisible, softlocks or kills the run) is reported by many reviewers and persists years later
  • Texto original · InglésElevator arenas are small, flat and cramped, leaving little room for dodging or platforming; enemies spawn constantly
  • Texto original · InglésMuch less content and depth than Enter the Gungeon: no synergies, little new enemy/gun/music content, runs feel repetitive quickly
  • Texto original · InglésJump-immunity and dodge-roll spam can trivialise bullets and some bosses instead of rewarding skillful movement
  • Texto original · InglésStiff/odd controls and sometimes disorienting camera, cluttered visuals that hide hazards, and moving shooting platforms in later stages
  • Texto original · InglésFeels like a simplified, mobile-origin spin-off rather than a true sequel; the most upvoted negative reviews are fans saying it is not Enter the Gungeon and forces blessed-style runs on them

Características distintivas

  • Texto original · InglésVertical elevator-climb structure instead of exploring a branching dungeon
  • Texto original · InglésWeapon auto-morphs every ~30 seconds, with quality tied to a hitless kill combo (0-20)
  • Texto original · InglésJumping grants airborne invulnerability, making jump a core defensive tool alongside rolling
  • Texto original · InglésBosses are fusions of Enter the Gungeon bosses
  • Texto original · InglésHub (Underbreach) with NPCs and small minigames like Angry-Birds-style and pachinko-style games
  • Texto original · InglésBegan as an Apple Arcade exclusive and was designed as an arcade-style bite-sized spin-off

Opiniones divididas

  • Texto original · InglésBlessed/random weapon system: some find it chaotic fun, many find it the game's biggest flaw
  • Texto original · InglésComparison to Enter the Gungeon: defenders say it should be judged as a different arcade game, detractors call it a creative failure and letdown for fans
  • Texto original · InglésDifficulty: some say it is very hard (bosses, tiny arenas), others find it easy once jump-dodging is discovered
  • Texto original · InglésValue: cheap sale price seen as fair for what it is, but others feel even that is too much

Repetición y obstáculos

  • Texto original · InglésForced elevator waves in early levels feel tedious and repetitive
  • Texto original · InglésRandom weapon swaps at bad moments, and combo reset on any hit, feel punishing rather than fun
  • Texto original · Inglés100%-ing the game becomes grindy; reviewers describe it as dragging after the main content is done
  • Texto original · InglésRepeated boss and enemy reuse and small gun pool make runs feel samey after a few characters
  • Texto original · InglésGetting Meowitzer repeatedly and needing to restart runs because of the bug
  • Texto original · InglésLevels feel flat and compact, with little platforming space, making later runs a grind of dodging spawn waves

Mejoras esperadas

  • Texto original · InglésFix the Meowitzer softlock and other audio/visual bugs
  • Texto original · InglésOffer more freedom over weapons by default (normal pickups/synergies) instead of relying on blessed guns; Arsenal Mode only partially addresses this
  • Texto original · InglésLarger, more varied arenas with real platforming space and less spawn spam
  • Texto original · InglésMore new content (guns, enemies, characters, music) rather than recycled assets from Enter the Gungeon
  • Texto original · InglésTuning of blanks, hazards and weapon rolls so randomness feels less unfair

Texto original · InglésLaunched Sept 2019 on Apple Arcade, then Mac/Windows/Switch in March 2020, PS4/Xbox One in Nov 2020, and separate iOS/Android releases in Aug 2025 per Wikipedia. Critics were mixed (71% of Metacritic Switch reviews rated Mixed, none Negative); the random-gun mechanic and loss of depth were the main sticking points. Steam is Mostly Positive (about 74%), with negative reviews heavily focused on the Meowitzer softlock, forced blessed-style runs and disappointment versus Enter the Gungeon. Final update Hello to Arms added Arsenal Mode for normal weapon pickups per a Steam reviewer. Steam has roughly 200k-500k owners (SteamSpy) and an estimated $1.17M gross / $345k net revenue (steam-revenue-calculator.com, Boxleiter-method estimate, not audited). Price $9.99, often on deep sale. Windows only on Steam, no Mac/Linux listing there. Steam recent reviews continue through 2026, indicating an ongoing trickle of players and a still-present boss bug. Caveat: live web search budget was exhausted, so Reddit was not reachable and community themes come mainly from Steam reviews, Metacritic, Wikipedia and the Steam discussions page.

Texto original · InglésTier list Part 1 (2023)

Texto original · InglésExit the Gungeon is the spin-off follow-up to Enter the Gungeon, originally built with mobile in mind, so it is far more minimalistic. It is a side-on 2D bullet hell with cramped space, fast runs and randomly swapping guns. He finds the gameplay boring and dislikes the RNG design, and he beat it on his first run. Its gorgeous remodeled Gungeon art and characters save it from a low placement, and he puts it above Enter the Gungeon on the board.

Lo que elogia el creador

  • Texto original · InglésArt style is straight Gungeon and looks awesome
  • Texto original · InglésCharacters were remodeled rather than reusing sprites
  • Texto original · InglésNostalgic to see the Gungeon cast alive again
  • Texto original · InglésRuns are much faster than the original

Problemas señalados por el creador

  • Texto original · InglésGameplay is not really fun and feels kind of boring
  • Texto original · InglésVery minimalistic compared to Enter the Gungeon, disappointing as a follow-up
  • Texto original · InglésMuch less space to dodge bullets in the side-on view, which feels awkward
  • Texto original · InglésRandom gun swapping with no gun collection; snowballing when you get strong guns
  • Texto original · InglésToo easy: he beat it on his first run

Observaciones de diseño

  • Texto original · InglésGuns switch randomly after a few seconds instead of being collected
  • Texto original · InglésSide-on 2D perspective rather than top-down for a bullet hell
  • Texto original · InglésStrong guns make better guns more likely, creating a snowball effect
