Reviewed games, ranked
Only published, complete five-dimension reviews qualify. Scores and global ranks come directly from the full rankings; equal displayed scores retain their shared rank. These are site scores out of 100, not user votes or similarity scores.

Start with how you want to fight
Brotato describes a top-down arena built around carrying up to six weapons. Shape Shifter: Formations uses twin-stick shooting and stacking upgrades. Vampire Survivors centers on growing powerful enough to face large numbers of creatures. All fit a horde-survival search, but their descriptions point to different choices during play.
Halls of Torment adds heroes and equipment to its horde-survival premise; Picayune Dreams explicitly combines horde survival with bullet-hell gameplay. Read the control and combat details before assuming every entry handles like the game that introduced you to the category.
Build variety still needs meaningful choices
Our scoring framework rewards decisions and the need to adapt across runs, rather than raw counts of weapons or upgrades. The five dimensions also include fairness and usability, which can matter when a screen becomes crowded.
A survivors-like tag does not certify automated attacks, one-handed controls, short sessions or local multiplayer. Those features vary by game and version. Consult the official store link for your platform and use the review as a source-based starting point.
Frequently asked questions
Does survivors-like mean automatic combat?
Not necessarily. Our category includes twin-stick and other shooting hybrids. The individual game’s controls and combat description are more useful than the category name for that question.
Are unscored games omitted?
Yes. This table is a ranking of completed reviews. You can still browse the library with the survivors-like filter to see catalog records awaiting review.
How are these games scored?
Core gameplay and builds each carry 25%; replayability and randomness/fairness each carry 20%; polish carries 10%. Only complete published reviews enter the rankings. The initial ratings use AI-assisted source research, not hands-on playtesting, and external review scores are kept separate.
